On behalf of Rokitz Touring we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone the NZ leg of our current World of Musicals tour until November and December 2022. Unfortunately due to the NZ Government not opening international entertainment visa applications until October we have been left with no other option. We were hoping and keeping everything crossed that NZ would indeed open applications at the same time as letting tourist visas etc apply but that has not been the case.
The new performance date is: Wednesday 21st December 2022
Please hold onto your tickets for just a little bit longer, we promise it will be worth it and we can’t wait to come in November for an amazing few weeks of shows.

The Royal New Zealand Ballet (RNZB) has cancelled the national tour of Swan Lake, set to take centre stage in five New Zealand cities through May and June.
While the Omicron outbreak may well have peaked and moved on in some places, the ongoing Red Traffic Light setting in the COVID Protection Framework, even with an extended 200-person limit, removes the RNZB’s ability to conduct a viable tour.
Executive Director Lester McGrath says, “COVID is still spreading in the community and may do for some time. Even with the prospect of moving to the Orange Traffic Light setting on the horizon, simply put, we have passed the point of no return to be able to successfully stage and tour Swan Lake, even if restrictions ease further in coming days or weeks. It was important that we made a call about our tour before getting any further into rehearsals, marketing and staging.
The Promoters of the Into Spring Family Variety Concert regrettably advise that due to restrictions imposed under the Red Light setting of the Government’s Covid 19 Protection Framework, the show has had to be postponed. We apologise for any inconvenience.
The new date is:

All existing tickets remain valid for the new performance date, you do not need to exchange your ticket or contact us.
Due to the uncertainty surrounding Covid restrictions in the coming months, GMG Productions NZ regret to advise that the July 2022 season of Beauty and the Beast at the Isaac Theatre Royal has had to be postponed. The season has been rescheduled to December 1st to December 11th, 2022.
We are in the process of setting up the new season and transferring all bookings over to compatible dates, and thus the bookings are temporarily off sale. Once this has been completed, we will be in touch to offer all ticket holders an alternative date. If this date is unsuitable you will be able to move to a date of your choice, subject to availability.
Once the transfer process is complete for current ticket holders, we will place the show back on sale to the general public.
We’ll be back in touch in the coming weeks to ask you to confirm the revised performance dates you’ll be offered. For now, you don’t need to do anything.
Thanks for your support and patience as we work through this process.

We regret to advise you that the April 2022 season of Matilda – The Musical at the Isaac Theatre Royal has had to be postponed due to Covid complications. The season has been rescheduled to September 16th to October 2nd, 2022.
Please note that for those who have selected a particular date based on when a particular performer in the show will be appearing ( especially the child performers), in most cases, the new dates offered will have the same performers as per the April season.
Once the transfer process is complete for current ticket holders, we will place the show back on sale to the general public, hopefully by mid April.
We’ll be back in touch in a week or so to ask you to confirm the revised performance dates you’ll be offered. For now, you don’t need to do anything.

The Isaac Theatre Royal would like to announce the cancellation of this years’ Made In Canterbury 2022 festival.
A festival which has grown and would have featured 24 performances over 4 days, following a successful first year in 2021 will be back bigger and better in 2023. This is Canterbury’s Fringe Festival, which has already garnered a huge amount of support and interest.
We would have loved to have brought you an amazing festival of great artistic talent in Canterbury, with a wide range of brilliant local performers, supported by local businesses, Tūrangā, Christchurch City Council and The Piano’. Indeed, we have made the tough decision to cancel this much loved event for our community, due to the restrictions and uncertainty in the current environment.
This years’ line up was very exciting and we wished we could have brought that to you. That said, we look forward to building on that excitement in 2023.
Our thoughts go out to all the artists, performers, musicians, crews, industry practitioners and patrons, who were looking forward to performing or working at the festival. Indeed, we are looking forward to when the arts industry is able to perform at, or close to, normal levels again.
To our community – stay safe in these challenging times.
All ticket holders will be automatically refunded.
Kia kaha,
The ITR Team.
