Oliver and the Acre brings a new work to the stage in this performance for the Made In Canterbury Festival. Known for his moving performances and intricate lyricism, Joe Oliver, the man behind the moniker, delivers an intimate set of song, spoken word, and instrumentation in this original piece “No Sign Of The Bellbird”. The work explores themes of ecological disintegration and uncertainty through the lens of a couple navigating adulthood and the strains of contemporary life. Told with a series of immersive scenes and delicate guitar, strings, and voice, this is Oliver’s most ambitious and comprehensive work to date.
Includes themes which may be confronting for younger audiences.
