Join Sophia for a journey into her world, through various Folk songs, covers and originals, all dreamily accompanied by the fantastical autoharp.
Sometimes happy, sometimes melancholic, or even sinister, Sophia’s music draws upon stories of the past, and weaves them into her performance.
It all began when she was reading a collection of Edgar Allen Poe stories. The macabre tone and narration captured her imagination and gave birth to the song that spawned this whole performance- ‘The Ground was Cold.’
The song tells the story of a bride-to-be whose husband has died under mysterious circumstances. She wanders through town alone, in hopes of reaching beyond the grave- and he somehow appears by her side. But something is very wrong…
Take some time out of the real world and let Sophia entertain you for the next little while!
