Set at an exclusive resort hosting the enigmatic jewellery house, Pêcheur & Perle, this striking new staging unfolds in a world where image, influence and ambition shape every decision.
As old loyalties begin to fracture, love and power collide. Beneath the surface of a world built on luxury lies a deeply human story of friendship, compassion and sacrifice.
Produced by New Zealand Opera in partnership with State Opera South Australia, this visually stunning production brings fresh perspective to Bizet's luminous score. It is performed by a cast of internationally acclaimed opera talent from Aotearoa, alongside the Freemasons Foundation New Zealand Opera Chorus, the Auckland Philharmonia and the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.
