To all our supporters, thank you for helping us throughout our journey. Over the last few years your support enabled the Isaac Theatre Royal to be the first public arts venue to reopen after the earthquakes. You also helped us through the beginning of Covid. Thank you so much.

The long-term prospects of the theatre are promising, however we need your help to navigate through the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions to produce live events and entertainment for you to enjoy. We can not do it without you. Indeed, we cannot wait to welcome you back.

Covid-19 has decimated our revenue, events, and all the arts community. We need to do The Big Ask campaign seeking your donations to help raise the curtain post-COVID.

As a result of your ongoing support...

The theatre was recognized at the EVANZ Awards as the NZ medium venue of the year in 2021.

As a charitable trust, we operate independent of council and government. We rely on the events we host and the donations we raise. We have continued to be innovative, creative and agile. We are confident of navigating the challenges that we are faced with, however we do need your help again.

We know that the arts play a critical role in uplifting and supporting our community and we’ll continue to explore ways to continue to bring the performing arts to Cantabrians during this time.

Donations can be made to any value (e.g; $20,000, $10,000, $5,000, $1,000, $500, $100, $50, $20).

Contributions over $1000 will be recognised on the 2022 Big Ask Campaign Plaque – Helping to raise the Curtain post Covid-19, which will be placed prominently in the venue.

With your support of The Big Ask campaign you are helping us raise the curtain and enable future performances at The Isaac Theatre Royal.
