Classes will be on Mondays :

- Senior drama class – 5.15pm to 6.15pm
- Senior musical theatre class – 6.15pm to 7.15pm
For ages 7 to 12
Students will have the opportunity to explore various aspects of musical theatre, including vocal training, stage performance, character development, and choreography. Throughout the classes, students will engage in exercises and activities designed to enhance their vocal abilities, develop acting skills, and improve their dance techniques.
Our senior drama and musical theatre classes focus on pre-professional development, working to create a full-length show over the year.
For ages 13 to 18
Our classes offer a dynamic and engaging program designed to cultivate creativity, confidence, and expressive skills through the art of acting, singing and dance. Students will explore various aspects of dramatic performance, including improvisation, character development, script analysis, and stage presence. Both our drama and musical theatre curriculum is thoughtfully structured to accommodate a range of skill levels, allowing both beginners and experienced young actors to benefit from the classes.
“Singing Stars NZ offers drama, singing and music classes all across Christchurch and Selwyn. We perform shows annually in top Christchurch venues performing original plays devised and written by our tutors.
Last year we took students to Los Angeles to compete as part of the New Zealand team at the World Championships of Performing Arts, for both singing and acting.
All of our students who participated were awarded scholarships to prestigious performing arts institutions in New York.
We are excited to announce that we have had more students selected to compete for team New Zealand in Los Angeles for both acting and singing in 2024!
We have also had students successfully audition for New Zealand Opera and they have been offered contracts to perform in their 2024 season at the Isaac Theatre Royal.’’
